This Privacy Policy describes how ContentKit ("we", "our", "the Service") handles information in connection with your use of the application.

1. Information We Handle

When you connect a third-party account (such as TikTok) to ContentKit, we handle the following categories of information:

• OAuth tokens — access and refresh tokens issued by the connected platform. These are stored locally and used solely to authenticate API requests on your behalf.
• Basic profile information — public display name, avatar, and account identifier returned by the platform after OAuth.
• Content you submit — videos, captions, and metadata you choose to upload or publish through ContentKit.
• Operational logs — minimal logs such as timestamps and error messages needed to diagnose problems.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above only to:

• Authenticate and authorize requests to connected platforms.
• Upload, draft, or schedule content you explicitly instruct the Service to publish.
• Diagnose and fix bugs in the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

OAuth tokens and configuration data are stored on the device or server where you run ContentKit. We take reasonable steps to protect stored credentials, including restricting file permissions and avoiding logging of secret values. Because the Service runs in your own environment, you are also responsible for keeping that environment secure.

4. Data Retention

Tokens and configuration are retained until you revoke access (either via the connected platform or by deleting your local ContentKit data). Operational logs are retained for a limited period and then discarded.

5. Third-Party Platforms

ContentKit interacts with third-party platforms such as TikTok through their official APIs. When you use ContentKit to publish content, that content is transmitted to the respective platform and governed by that platform's privacy policy. We do not control how third-party platforms process your data after it leaves ContentKit.

6. Your Choices

• You can revoke ContentKit's access to any connected account from that platform's settings at any time.
• You can delete your local ContentKit data (tokens, drafts, logs) to remove all stored information.
• You may contact us to request information about data we hold related to your use of the Service.

7. Children's Privacy

ContentKit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after such changes indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
